Raw Sea Moss Gel Preparation
You can either cook or blend your sea moss (1 of the 2 methods not both)
Take a handful (about 50g).
Rinse it off the sea impurities.
Once satisfied with the rinsing, soak is for 30 minutes to an hour or up to 24 hours.
Make sure it’s submerged underwater while soaking.
The level of water will decrease, keep on adding more.
Once the soaked sea moss has expanded and is translucent, you know it’s ready for blending or cooking(one of the 2 methods, not both)
Blending
Add the translucent sea moss into a blender.
Add a cup of hot water.
Start the blender from low to higher speed.
Blend until to your desired fineness
The thickness of your gel will be determined by the amount of water added.
Cooking
Add the translucent sea moss into a pot.
Add 2cups(250 ml) of boiled water into a pot that’s if you used 50g sea moss
Set the temperature to 180 degrees Celsius.
Slice a fresh lemon into half and add it into the pot.(optional)
Add two teaspoons of vanilla essence (optional)
Boil for 30- 45 minutes.
Keep stirring until molten into gel.
Consumption.There is no limit to how much sea moss one can consume, the more the better.
The gel can be consumed as it is.
It can be added to shakes or smoothies.Facial musk.
The gel can be applied topically to one’s face for 30minutes to an hour and wash off.
